Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center is actively seeking an Operating Room Technician to support sterile prep, maintain sterile field, and hand instruments to surgical teams during procedures. This position is based in Anaheim, California and requires adherence to hospital standards and patient safety protocols.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT training or equivalent experience, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties.
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

ORT training program or on the job training with 3 years experience

Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures

Current BLS (AHA) certificate
