The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with no prior experience needed. Expect rotating night shifts, strict infection control, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced OR setting.
• Strong adherence to infection control and aseptic practices.
• Ability to follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Basic CPR knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing staff in receiving, caring for, and transporting patients.
• Clean and maintain patient care equipment and supply items.
• Provide supplies and equipment as needed in the perioperative region.
• Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and preventive maintenance.
• Attend equipment and supply in-services, evaluations, and staff meetings.
• Transports and receives patients, equipment, and specimens as required.
• Support orientation of new staff and cross-trains when requested.
