Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in a high-acuity environment. You will prepare the OR, ensure sterile instruments, and assist with patient positioning and room turnover while upholding Mercy Standards.

This role requires a High-School Diploma or GED, BLS, English proficiency, and ideally 1 year of experience with a Surgical Tech certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• English fluency required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Postsecondary certificate/degree in surgical technology preferred.
• Surgical Technology Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and ensure all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready.
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff.
• Assist with room turnover and patient positioning during procedures.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality throughout perioperative care.
• Support the surgical team to deliver safe, efficient care and positive patient outcomes.
