Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved on-the job training curriculum and/or comparable work experience.
• One month of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies for the procedure are disinfected, assembled and ready.
• Maintain sterile field before and during procedures and assist with equipment as needed.
• Provide support during pre-operative phase and assist during surgery as scrub technician.
• Prepare patient's skin, position patients and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Perform clerical duties such as ordering supplies, logging records and inventory control.
• Deliver compassionate support to patients and families and ensure safety and privacy policies are followed.
