Job summary

Ridgeview is seeking a Surgical Technician to provide patient care in the operating room under the supervision of the RN circulator. The role focuses on maintaining a sterile field, assisting surgeons, and ensuring a safe, efficient surgical environment.

Qualifications include completion of an approved Surgical Technician program or Practical Nurse licensure in Minnesota, with CPR certification obtainable after hire. Prior OR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess surgical procedures and patient-specific requirements with circulating nurse.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile operating field for procedures.
• Assist the surgeon during intra-operative steps within scope of practice.
• Assist with room turnover between cases.
• Perform instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
