Job summary

The incumbent will prepare for cases, count instruments, and assist physicians during procedures while maintaining safety standards and responding to trauma or emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Certified by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Good manual dexterity required.
• Maintains a safe physical environment.
• Counts instruments, sponges, sharps per hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures under RN supervision.
• Prepare and assist with newborn to geriatric patient needs.
• Scrub nurse duties and organize daily cases.
• Ensure aseptic technique and proper instrument handling.
• Monitor equipment and room readiness for procedures.
