Job summary

McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL seeks an Operating Room Aide to provide non-licensed support in perioperative services, assisting with room prep, turnover, supply management, and transport to promote safe, efficient surgical care.

Under RN or Surgical Services leadership, you may be cross-trained to assist other departments as needed; high school diploma and BLS/CPR are required, with ability to lift and move equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to safely lift, transport, and move equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operating room preparation and room turnover.
• Manage supplies and transport equipment and specimens.
• Support perioperative services under supervision to ensure safety and efficiency.
