Job summary

University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to support the daily flow of the OR and patient care. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and CPR skills; BLS training and additional certifications may be provided on the job.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with handling hazardous materials and PHI is required.
• CPR training or certification is required or provided on the job.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the efficient turnover of operating rooms between cases.
• Transport patients, trays, blood gases, specimens and equipment.
• Support operative team with various requests while cases are in progress.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively to enhance patient care and daily operations.
• Participate as a productive member of the OR Assistant team.
