Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to support our Surgical Services team in a fast-paced hospital setting. This full-time role involves preparing and cleaning operating rooms, transporting patients and equipment, maintaining supplies, and ensuring a safe environment for procedures.

Candidates should be detail-oriented, team-focused, and committed to patient safety. CPR certification and a high school diploma are required/preferred; one year of healthcare experience

Qualifications

• CPR certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Cleans surgical area and prepares for next case
• Transports patients and equipment to and from the OR
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment
• Adheres to standard precautions and safety protocols
• Supports the Surgical Services team to ensure patient safety and efficiency
