Job summary

Blue Mountain Hospital is seeking a skilled Scrub Technician to join our surgical team in the operating room. You will assist surgeons and nurses, maintain a sterile environment, and prepare instruments and supplies for procedures.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong teamwork, calmness under pressure, and a commitment to patient confidentiality. Training is provided, and a two-year commitment is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations; two-year commitment required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the OR room, instruments, equipment and supplies before each procedure.
• Anticipate surgeons' and nurses' needs during surgeries and provide instruments promptly.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control to minimize SSI risk.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping of the surgical area.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for safe and efficient patient care throughout procedures.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilization and maintenance of instruments, equipment and OR rooms.
