Job summary

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel assignment in the Pittsburgh area, Pennsylvania. This role requires strong circulating and scrub skills and the ability to handle a variety of surgical cases in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, robotic, and general surgery experience, with travel nursing experience and a valid RN license.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact accepted).
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years OR experience within last 3 years (3 years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of Level I Trauma experience within last 3 years.
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience within last 3 years.
• Strong circulating and scrub experience required.
• One professional reference within last 36 months.
• No employment gaps exceeding 90 days in work history.
• Previous permanent employees of the facility are not eligible.

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Rotating Days, Evenings & Nights

Call Requirement: Required

Weekend Requirement: Required

Pay Package

• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,700
• Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,500
• Taxable Wages: $1,200

Position Overview

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for an exciting travel opportunity in the Pittsburgh area, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a highly skilled perioperative nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is comfortable working with a wide variety of complex surgical cases.

The ideal candidate will possess strong circulating and scrub experience and demonstrate expertise in trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, robotic, and general surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Active RN License (Compact Accepted)
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 3 years (3 years preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of Level I Trauma experience within the last 3 years
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Strong circulating and scrub experience required

Required Clinical Experience

Candidates must be proficient in one or more these areas:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedic Surgery (Total Joints Required)
• Neuro Surgery (Craniotomy and Spine Required)
• Vascular Surgery
• Trauma Surgery
• Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci Experience Required)
• Transplant Surgery (Preferred but not required)

Scheduling Information

• Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights
• Call required on weekdays and weekends
• Weekend call may include Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday
• Up to 3 weekend call shifts during a 6-week schedule period
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• In-house call rooms available
• No block scheduling available
