Job summary

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in the Pittsburgh area, Pennsylvania. This role requires strong circulating and scrub skills across trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, robotic, and general surgeries.

The position features a 13-week contract with rotating days, evenings, and nights, mandatory call and weekend coverage. Candidates must hold an active RN license, BLS, and travel nursing experience; comp benefits include a weekly

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact accepted).
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 3 years (3 years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of Level I Trauma experience within the last 3 years
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience within the last 3 years.
• Strong circulating and scrub experience required.
• One professional reference within the last 36 months.
• No employment gaps exceeding 90 days in work history.
• Previous permanent employees of the facility are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide circulating and scrub coverage in various OR cases.
• Work rotating shifts including days, evenings and nights.
• Be available for call on weekdays and weekends.
• Achieve rapid response times and collaborate with surgical teams.
• Travel to assigned facilities as required.

Pay Package

• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,700
• Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,500
• Taxable Wages: $1,200

Position Overview

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for an exciting travel opportunity in the Pittsburgh area, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a highly skilled perioperative nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is comfortable working with a wide variety of complex surgical cases.

The ideal candidate will possess strong circulating and scrub experience and demonstrate expertise in trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, robotic, and general surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Orthopedic Surgery (Total Joints Required)
• Neuro Surgery (Craniotomy and Spine Required)
• Vascular Surgery
• Trauma Surgery
• Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci Experience Required)
• Transplant Surgery (Preferred but not required)

Scheduling Information

• Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights
• Call required on weekdays and weekends
• Weekend call may include Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday
• Up to 3 weekend call shifts during a 6-week schedule period
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• In-house call rooms available
• No block scheduling available
