Qualifications

• Valid Florida RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses assigned patients and documents nursing care and vital signs.
• Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by responses and orders.
• Reviews, evaluates, and reports diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
• Consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to assigned patients to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepares patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Considers patient age and culture during patient treatments and provides information regarding treatment plan.
• Nurtures a compassionate environment by providing psychological support.
• Performs appropriate patient tests and safely administers medications within the scope of practice.
• Maintains accurate records related to medications and treatments per policies and physician orders.
• Communicates plan of care to patient, family, and team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assists with discharge planning and uses available resources.
• Plans and prioritizes assignments to render superior patient care and seeks help when needed.
• Safely operates medical equipment.
• Acts as a preceptor to new staff.
