Job summary

Bucks County Surgical Suites Highpoint is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide nursing care during surgery cases. Responsibilities include positioning, patient prep, and circulating the case for patients of all ages.

The role requires PA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS within hire or one year, and intra-operative experience. Opportunities for leadership and quality improvement involvement are described.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in PA.
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS required upon hire and required within one year of hiring date.
• Ability to Scrub and Circulate as needed.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. Positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room.
• Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Communicates information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members.
• May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, including serving on committees and participating in quality improvement audits and projects.
