Job summary

The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to provide high-quality, efficient care within a supportive team. You will work with a dedicated Surgical Services team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes across perioperative care.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of OR nursing experience, Texas RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications; BSN is preferred, CNOR is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting is required.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification are required.
• CNOR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand aseptic technique and maintain sterile field; assist in procedures and prep patients for surgery.
• Demonstrate knowledge of areas to be prepped for different procedures.
• Assess patient pre-surgery and confirm understanding; ensure timeout with perioperative team.
