Qualifications

• RN license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or eNLC status as applicable.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum of 1 year hospital nursing experience.
• ADN or BSN degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
