Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will participate in a collaborative, high-paced perioperative team, handling pre-, intra-, and post-operative care across orthopedic and general surgery cases.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, teamwork with surgeons and anesthesia, and ongoing professional growth within a facility recently expanding robotic-assisted capabilities.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of Operating Room RN experience preferred; new-to-OR candidates may be considered based on overall experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessments to ensure safe patient care.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and supports efficient workflow.
• Provides age- and procedure-appropriate nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver high-quality outcomes.
