Job summary

OrthoNebraska in Omaha, NE is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to oversee the safe, efficient perioperative care of patients. Responsibilities include sterilizing equipment, preparing rooms, and assessing patients before and after surgery while supporting the surgeon during procedures.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license in Nebraska (or eligible compact state), BLS and ACLS certification within 90 days, and 1+ year perioperative or PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current RN license in Nebraska or eligible compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ year perioperative, medical-surgical or PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' nursing care needs and plan care.
• Implement and revise the plan of care for optimum outcomes.
• Evaluate patient response to care and interventions.
• Maintain professional behavior and support the organization's mission.
• Address safety risks and regulatory compliance (OSHA, TJC).
• Participate in performance improvement activities and department meetings.
• Attend mandatory educational programs.
• Follow hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
