This state-of-the-art facility offers 34 ORs with advanced technology and a Mayo Nursing Care Model that supports leadership, teaching, and collaborative practice. Flexibility for varied shifts and on-call duties is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS competency and ongoing professional development.
• One year RN experience in an applicable care setting preferred.
• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the nursing care for OR patients; direct patient care and family education.
• Circulate and coordinate the surgical team; scrub as needed; advocate for patients.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and care transitions.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement efforts and committees.
• Function within the Mayo Nursing Care Model; ensure effective communication.
