Responsibilities

• Education - participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self, attends education programs.
• Evaluation of Care - identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in evaluation with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - provides care for patients with complex problems following standards and care plans.
• Leadership - supports goals, collaborates interdepartmentally, and promotes cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - assesses and prioritizes physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Planning - collaborates with patient/family to plan care and coordinates with multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - reads journals and brings ideas to the team for assessment.
