Job summary

Duke University in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for the Arringdon Ambulatory Surgery Center. This full-time role offers a chance to grow within a brand-new facility featuring four operating rooms and a collaborative, patient-centered team.

The ideal candidate will have OR nursing experience, BLS/AHA certification, and a commitment to safe, high-quality care. Orthopaedic or ophthalmic procedures are preferred; NC RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Assist nursing personnel and act as team leader or charge nurse.
• Monitor and maintain the care environment and equipment resources.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and competency maintenance.
• Act as preceptor and support staff development.
• Engage in performance improvement opportunities and activities.

Responsibilities
