Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for the Main OR. This full-time, day-shift role offers 40 hours per week with call requirements on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.

You will join a Magnet-designated, Harvard-affiliated academic medical center renowned for high-acuity surgical care. Required: RN license (MA), 1–3 years OR experience, BLS, and Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program is required.
• Current MA RN license is required (or eligibility).
• BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room.
• Assess health care needs and develop a care plan.
• Coordinate care with the surgical team and assistive personnel.
• Communicate effectively and advocate for patients.
• Maintain annual education requirements and competency.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
