Job summary

IU Health is seeking nurses and upcoming/recent RN graduates to join our operating room and intraoperative services, supporting surgical patients at our main hospital and ASC locations.

Our program offers a 6-month intensive orientation, opportunities to scrub, and collaboration across hospital units to ensure safe patient care. RN licensure in Indiana and BSN emphasis strengthen candidacy.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification; other advanced Life Support may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia during intubation/extubation.
• Assist surgeon during procedures and ensure sterile instrumentation.
• Provide critical care support for A-lines, traumas, massive blood loss, cardiac/respiratory events.
• Care for patients during malignant hyperthermia crisis.
