• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities to provide high standard peri-operative nursing care.
• Perform nursing assessments using critical thinking to identify problems and priorities.
• Assist with procedures and ensure proper techniques and supplies.
• Ensure availability and maintenance of surgical equipment and instruments.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to sterile technique and patient safety standards.
• Verify pre-operative orders, labs, and consents and document results.
• Communicate care plans and patient needs to the team; document accordingly.
• Monitor supply usage and ensure charges are captured accurately.
• Respond to emergencies and adapt to changing conditions professionally.
• Participate in mandatory educational programs and quality improvement activities.
