Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (RN-OR) to provide compassionate, high-quality perioperative care. You will perform assessments, help with procedures, and work with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have an associates degree or diploma in nursing, at least one year of RN experience, and BLS/CPR certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing or Diploma required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition, providing nursing care to meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs, and notifying doctor of changes.
• Planning: design, direct, evaluate and document care plans and transitions, with patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Implementation: prepare patients for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies, report significant changes, and follow safety protocols.
• Evaluation: reassess patients after interventions and modify care as needed.
• Report Skills: perform Bedside Shift Report and ensure continuity of care for the next shift.
• Environment & Patient Safety: maintain safety and report hazards, aligning with organizational goals.
