Job summary

SCA Health in Carmel, IN is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering perioperative care in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, state RN licensure in good standing, and BLS/ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is within scope). One year of OR/medical-surgical experience is preferred, with perioperative certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
