Job summary

McLaren Health Care is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room (Periop 101). The role emphasizes clinical judgment, patient assessment, and collaboration with the health care team to deliver perioperative care with safety and efficiency.

You will report to the shift Team Leader and participate in the Clinical Ladder framework, with a schedule of 7:00am-3:15pm and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
• Competent within 6 months of hire with all age groups within defined patient population.
• BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Clinical expertise: Collaborates with health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care.
• Lifelong learning through certification and education.
• Demonstrates leadership through sharing knowledge and acting as a clinical resource.
• Communicates effectively with team using SBAR and interdisciplinary channels.
• Manages time effectively and supports team performance.
• Performs other duties as directed by competency-based objectives.
