Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of starting clinical nurse role.
• ER needs: ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
• Pediatric ER: PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
• Non-Invasive Cardiology: ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient status and identify care needs upon admission.
• Organize health data so it is accurate, complete and accessible.
• Identify problems that need immediate attention.
• Validate diagnoses with patient/family and health care team.
• Document diagnoses to guide expected outcomes and plan of care.
• Initiate discharge planning at admission and update as needed.
