Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking Registered Nurses for the Operating Room with a full-time day shift and optional call. Eligible candidates with two+ years RN experience may qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current Florida or Compact Nursing License
• Prefer one year, full-time or 3 years, part-time experience in acute care setting.
• Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer: ACLS (all units), NRP (Women’s Center), NIH (ICU/PCU), PALS/CPI (ER), PALS (PACU).

Responsibilities

• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• RNs with at least 1 year acute care experience desiring to be trained into the OR.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Other duties as assigned.
