Job summary

Qualifications

• BCLS required.
• ACLS/PALS preferred.
• 1–2 years of OR experience; two+ years with scrub and circulating preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with providers, patients, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room.
• Plan, implement, and assist in the oversight of patient care.
• Circulate and scrub cases as assigned.
• Support procedural teams to ensure patient safety and efficiency.
• Assist with room turnover and case prep per sterile technique and infection-control standards.
• Adhere to time-out procedures and Universal Protocol standards.
• Maintain high safety standards for patients and staff.
• Document care accurately per center policies and procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, supplies, and equipment needs.
• Promote safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection-control practices, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with proceduralists, anesthesia, surgical techs, and admin staff.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.
