Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists - SODS ASC in North Syracuse, NY, is seeking an Operating Room RN for a full-time professional role. Salary ranges from $36.00 to $50.00 hourly with responsibilities in organizing, planning, circulating, scrubbing, and patient care oversight.

Qualifications

• BCLS required.
• ACLS/PALS preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in the Operating Room, two or more years preferred with scrub and circulating experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate with providers, patients, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room.
• Plan, implement, and assist in the oversight of patient care.
• Circulate and scrub cases, as assigned.
• Support procedural teams as needed to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
• Assist with room turnover and case preparation in accordance with sterile technique and infection-prevention standards.
• Adhere to time-out procedures and Universal Protocol standards.
• Maintain high safety standards for both patients and other staff.
• Accurately document care given according to center policies and procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, supplies, and equipment needs.
• Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection-control practices, and performance metrics
• Collaborate effectively with proceduralists, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and administrative staff
• Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
