Job summary

Vail Health Hospital in Colorado is seeking an experienced OR nurse to provide compassionate, individualized care and collaborate with the care team. You will oversee patient flow in the OR, deliver education, and ensure safety and high-quality outcomes for patients and families.

The role requires one year of OR experience, current Colorado RN licensure or a compact state, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Pay is hourly and commensurate with education and experience, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

One year operating room experience required.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or a valid compact state.
BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
Must possess working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing for hires after 07/01/2018.

Responsibilities

Oversees daily patient flow within the OR suite to optimize care, safety and satisfaction.
Delivers patient education to facilitate plan of care and promote wellness.
Delegates care appropriately per Colorado statute.
Performs independent clinical assessment with minimal supervision.
Administers medications, carries out treatments, and assists procedures with safety compliance.
Reviews patient paperwork and verifies procedures.
Assists in positioning and transport of patients.
Documents pathology, implants, tissue tracking, and related charts.
Demonstrates Relationship-Based Care to ensure safety and effective communication with patients and families.
