Job Summary and Qualifications

The Surgical RN is responsible for nursing activities related to the care of patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. The RN provides guidance to non-licensed personnel and cares for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients from newborn to adolescence, adhering to age-specific competency standards.

Qualifications needed:

• Graduate of a professional nursing school.
• Minimum of one year of OR experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Texas (or a valid compact license accepted; Texas license required within 30 days of hire).
• CPR certification from AHA or ARC.
