Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN Circulator) – Day Shift – St. Joseph, MI Location: St. Joseph, MI 49085 (On-site; may float between St. Joseph and Niles) Schedule: Days, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM (10-hour shifts). Weekend on-call rotation. On-call return time: 30 minutes (2-hour callback minimum). Pay:$45 - $60/hr

This OR RN Circulator opportunity is ideal for a confident perioperative RN who excels in a fast-paced surgical environment, prioritizes patient safety, and communicates clearly with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interprofessional team. As an OR RN Circulator, you’ll coordinate patient care from pre-op through post-op handoff, support safe workflows, and maintain accurate documentation while meeting quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based perioperative nursing care aligned to organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
• Perform patient assessments, identify risks, and develop individualized plans of care
• Coordinate intraoperative care, support patient safety, and ensure continuity across the surgical team
• Advocate for patients and families while maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and data security
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and support departments to keep cases moving safely
• Provide patient and family education, initiate discharge planning, and support safe transitions of care
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and perform point-of-care testing as required
• Delegate appropriately and participate in safety initiatives and quality improvement activities
• Maintain required competencies and compliance expectations in an OR setting

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking, organization, and ability to work under pressure with high volume and interruptions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a perioperative/OR environment
