Charleston ENT & Allergy is seeking a Perioperative RN/O.R. Circulator for our Bluffton, SC surgery center. You will advocate for patients, monitor safety before, during, and after surgery, and help the team maintain sterile conditions throughout procedures.

The role requires a BSN and SC nursing license with 2–3 years of RN experience and at least 1 year in the OR (circulating and scrub preferred). Strong teamwork, communication, and stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• RN experience in perioperative or operating room settings.
• BSN degree and SC nursing license required.
• At least 2–3 years as an RN with at least 1 year in the OR (circulating and scrub preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Strong patient-safety focus and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational skills and teamwork are essential.

Responsabilités

Job Description Job Description Charleston ENT & Allergy has an immediate full-time opening for a Perioperative RN/O.R. Circulator for our newest Surgery Center located in Bluffton, SC! This position is responsible for serving as a patient advocate and safety monitor before, during, and after surgery and for ensuring everyone works together as a team to provide the highest quality care for each patient. From calming the nerves of patients and their families, to prepping the O.R. for surgery, stocking supplies, and maintaining sterile conditions, this position wears many hats, and requires a nurse with a level head, a calm demeanor, and high attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills, empathy, and the ability to adapt as conditions change are essential for success.

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess patients before surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
• Gather all supplies needed for the operation
• Assume responsibility for keeping the operating room sterilized
• Position and prepare patient on operating table
• Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
• Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies
• Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
• Adhere to safety standards and precautions
• Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned

Operating Room Nurse Requirements

• BSN degree and SC nursing license
• At least 2-3 years’ work experience as an RN
• At least one year experience as an operating room nurse (circulating and scrub preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
• In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
• Outstanding organizational ability
• A great team player with excellent communication skills
• Even-tempered with emotional and physical stamina
