Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated OR Registered Nurse for our San Antonio hospital campus. This on-site, permanent role provides perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity surgical environment, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a TX State RN license and at least two years of OR experience, with flexibility for varied shifts. BLS/ACLS preferred; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current TX State RN License.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably within an operating room setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in medication administration, care planning, patient and family education, pain management, and postoperative nursing care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into consideration their specific needs and goals.
• Educate patients and their families about postoperative care, including pain management strategies and potential complications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively, demonstrating sound decision-making skills and a commitment to patient safety.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Continually update clinical knowledge and skills through professional development activities.
