Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - OR Circulator to join our award-winning ambulatory surgery center. This full-time, permanent role features a schedule with no nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no call, with cases starting at 7am.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years of circulating experience in an operating room, including orthopedic cases.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in the use of medical software and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgery and arrange instruments/equipment, maintaining sterile conditions.
• Verify patient identity and review procedures to prevent errors.
• Assess patients pre-operatively (e.g., NPO) and provide reassurance.
• Assist surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and supplies.
• Coordinate with the surgical team and communicate patient information.
• Monitor vital signs and patient safety during procedures.
• Coordinate post-operative care and room turnover.
• Document actions and communicate continuation of care needs.
• Engage in ongoing education to maintain competency.

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Full time, Permanent Registered Nurse - OR Circulator to join our dynamic healthcare team.

Shift: 4x10s or 5x8s, Day shift, cases start at 7am. No nights, No weekends, No holidays, No call

Responsibilities

• 1. Preparing the operating room for surgery, setting up surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile conditions.
• 2. Adhering to safety standards and precautions, including verifying patient identity and reviewing surgical procedures to prevent errors.
• 3. Assessing patients before surgery (e.g., NPO status) and comforting them while alleviating their anxiety.
• 4. Assisting surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
• 5. Working together with the surgical team, communicating patient information, and ensuring patient safety during the operation.
• 6. Monitoring patient's vital signs and maintaining patient's safety during the operation.
• 7. Coordinating post-operative care, including patient recovery and room turnover.
• 8. Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing patient care requirements.
• 9. Participating in ongoing educational activities to maintain competency and improve professional skills.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Permanent Registered Nurse - OR Circulator role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• 1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 2. Current Connecticut state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• 3. A minimum of 2 years of circulating experience in an operating room, including experience in orthopedics
• 4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• 5. Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
• 6. Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• 8. Proficient in the use of medical software and equipment.
