Tampa General Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Tech 4 in the Operating Room who will lead radiographic procedures across age groups and ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging with minimal supervision.

The role requires ARRT Radiographer certification, BLS, and 5 years in a hospital imaging department. You will mentor staff, support scheduling, and enforce radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a hospital diagnostic imaging department.
• Ability to lead and mentor radiology staff and coordinate scheduling.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and patient protection.
• Proven ability to adapt radiographic procedures to patient age groups and equipment constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead or perform a variety of radiographic procedures according to established protocols for patients of all ages.
• Exercise independent judgment and adapt procedures based on patient needs or equipment constraints.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and protection during radiographic procedures.
• Lead and guide junior staff, assist in scheduling and assigning work for the radiology team.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and hospital policies.
• Assist radiologists and other providers during radiographic exams.
• Orient new staff and evaluate performance under supervision.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date departmental records.
