Schedule: 40 hours per week | 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM | Monday - Friday

Position Overview

The Operating Room (OR) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Attendant performs patient care duties in a surgical setting. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room by cleaning, organizing, and equipping surgical areas according to protocols. The role involves safely transporting patients of all ages—from infants to adults—and assisting with patient preparations and positioning. Additionally, the CNA runs errands between interdisciplinary departments under the supervision of nurses and surgeons.

Requirements

1. Current CNA certification in good standing with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred, especially in an operating room environment.
4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required upon hire.
6. Ability to perform a full range of body motions necessary to pass a basic FIT test, including bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
7. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
