Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks an Operating Room Nurse for a full-time day shift at a Level One Trauma Hospital. Prior OR experience preferred; Periop 101 preferred. You will deliver patient-centered care, develop plans, and participate in safety and quality initiatives.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, patient education, and adherence to evidence-based practices, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in committees.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and cultural awareness.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and post-discharge needs.
• Ability to work with inter-professional teams and physicians.
• Active RN license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, their family/designated care partner(s), and other staff.
• Partners with patients and families in identifying learning needs and provides education.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, and monitor outcomes.
• Functions within nursing and inter-professional teams to ensure safe, compassionate care.
