Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical procedures at Ascension St. Vincent in Fishers, IN.

This PRN role supports the PACU/preop environment, requiring strong scrub and circulating skills, and direct nurse-physician collaboration. Qualified candidates will hold Indiana RN licensure (or eligible), with requirements for ACLS/BLS and 5+ years in PACU or preop preferred, and will participate in ongoing

Qualifications

• Indiana RN licensure required or eligible for licensure in Indiana.
• Adv. Life Support within 6 months or BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program OR current professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the operative setting for surgical patients.
• Perform scrub function: instrument and supply handling during procedures.
• Perform circulating function: monitor patient condition and coordinate pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.
• Assist surgeon with tasks including hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and instruments/equipment for use.
