Job summary

Northern Arizona Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate care for patients and families, including education and discharge planning. The RN provides leadership for staff, precepts, and collaborates with the healthcare team within ANA standards.

The role involves care in a facility with advanced operating room suites and emphasizes patient-centered, high-quality care, compliance with safety standards, and continuous learning through in-service and education programs.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid, participating compact license.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• RNs hired on or after 7/1/2016: must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs and conditions of assigned patients by gathering relevant patient health information.
• Develops a plan of care individualized to the patient and implements the plan to attain outcomes.
• Assesses patient progress and revises diagnoses, outcomes and plans as appropriate.
• Contributes to patient experience with safe, high quality & patient centered care and respects privacy and dignity.
• Evaluates patient conditions and adapts the care plan accordingly.
• Performs aseptic techniques and maintains a sterile field; follows infection control standards.
• Maintains infection prevention standards and collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Assists with procedures and transportation throughout the hospital per policies.
