Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• 12 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of the patient/family care.
• Communicates with the team, patients and family and evaluates understanding of information.
• Provides a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Delivers nursing care using approved medications and IV administration.
• Demonstrates personal accountability and ongoing professional development.
