Job summary

Penn Medicine, part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, is seeking a supply chain support role to assist OR procedures by selecting instrument sets, receiving shipments, stocking supplies, and returning materials to storage areas.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, clear communication with IP staff and supervisors, and adaptability to changing department needs to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High‑school diploma or GED (required).
• 0‑1 years of equivalent experience or supply‑chain experience in a high‑volume institution.

Responsibilities

• Pick instrument sets and surgical supplies for OR procedures, assess supplies, and place orders when necessary.
• Receive supply shipments, stock supplies in storage area and return supplies to storage area.
• Transport soiled and clean case carts within the ISC.
• Display adequate communication skills with IP staff, supervisors and others; demonstrate courtesy and respect for employees to fulfill service mission.
• Modify behavior or work schedule when necessary to achieve department goals.
• Proactively share information and trends; exhibit an openness to change and promote it in others.
