University of Utah Health is recruiting an Operating Room Health Care Assistant (HCA) to support surgical operations and maintain a safe, efficient OR environment. The role focuses on patient transport, instrument and supply readiness, and collaboration with nurses, technologists, and surgeons.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care under RN direction, preparing ORs, and ensuring readiness for procedures while adhering to hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be available for variable and rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to assist in educating patients and families as delegated by the care team.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients to and from the operating room and procedural areas.
• Clean, prepare, and maintain operating room suites between procedures.
• Set up, organize, and manage surgical tables, equipment, and supplies.
• Transport specimens, blood products, and other materials.
• Disinfect and process endoscopes and related equipment.
• Stock and organize OR suites to ensure readiness.
