Job summary

Southpoint Surgery Center seeks a dedicated EVS Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across operating rooms, patient rooms, and offices. Under the EVS Supervisor, you will perform cleaning, floor care, waste removal, and terminal cleaning per policy, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in environmental services or housekeeping in ambulatory/surgical settings preferred.
• Willingness to rotate weekends and follow hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Cleans operating rooms, patient rooms, bathrooms, and offices as assigned.
• Operates floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums; performs floor care (strip, wax, polish).
• Reaches cleaning targets, maintains safety and infection control standards.
• Assists with stocking supplies and reporting hazardous conditions.
• Performs terminal cleaning daily per hospital policy and procedure.
