Job summary

Penn Medicine in Lancaster, PA seeks an OR Environmental Service Specialist to maintain a clean, safe and sterile perioperative environment in the Operating Rooms and related areas. You will support patient care and hospital operations by cleaning, restocking supplies, disposing waste, handling linen, and following PPE and infection control protocols, with a second shift from 4:00pm to 12:30am.

This role requires attention to detail, teamwork with clinical staff, and adherence to safety

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain OR suites, locker rooms, lounges, corridors, and sub-sterile areas to meet 90%+ inspection standards.
• Dispose of biohazard waste per hospital standards; coordinate linen supply and distribution; restock clean linens and ensure proper storage.
• Replenish environmental cleaning carts, surgical masks/caps/boots, soaps and other supplies in designated areas.
• Follow PPE usage and safety protocols; comply with fire, electrical, infection control and body mechanics guidelines.
• Terminally clean all operating rooms at end of day and utilize Xenex robot per room guidance.
