Job summary

Penn Medicine at Lancaster General Hospital is seeking an EVS Specialist to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff on the Day/Evening shift (11:00am-7:30pm) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include cleaning surfaces, floors, and carpets, operating housekeeping equipment, and following universal precautions. A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of hospitality housekeeping experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Clean environmental surfaces including furniture, fixtures and windows.
• Refinish floors and maintain carpeted areas as needed.
• Operate housekeeping equipment and respond to routine requests on pager.
• Adhere to universal precautions and dispose of waste properly.
• Maintain hospital property and assist with moves and general duties.
