Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to support diverse surgical patients in Frisco, TX. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care, guides OR staff, and ensures sterile technique and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process, advocating for patients, and coordinating care across settings. Requires TX RN license and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum one year OR experience.
• Texas RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to interact tactfully with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Knowledge of hospital policies specific to operating room nurses.
• Clinical proficiency in operating room nursing across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Meets all required deadlines and prioritizesPatient care.
• Delivers direct and indirect patient care per standards considering age and risk factors.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Acts as patient advocate and preserves autonomy and dignity.
• Prepares rooms, instruments and equipment for procedures and assists post-procedure cleanup.
• Documents records according to policy and procedure.
• Assists in tour of OR, provides guidance to non-licensed staff.
