The Orthopedic Clinic Surgery Center, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, seeks a highly motivated Operating Room Circulating RN to join our dynamic team. This daytime position offers no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call duties.

As an Operating Room Circulating RN, you will ensure patient safety, maintain a sterile environment, and support both patients and the surgical team during procedures. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package are included.

Description

The Orthopedic Clinic Surgery Center is a growing, state-of-the-art, Ambulatory Surgery Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our team of ten Surgeons, ten Mid-Level Providers and our dynamic clinical team are dedicated to providing compassionate and cutting‑edge orthopedic care. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Operating Room Circulating RN to join our lively team.

This position involves daytime shift work; no weekends, no holidays, no call!

POSITION EXPECTATIONS

As an Operating Room Circulating RN, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sterile environment throughout the surgical procedure and providing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. Other responsibilities of this position include:

• Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies
• Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and functioning
• Monitor the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment
• Assist in positioning the patient safely before the surgery
• Verify patient information and surgical site before the procedure begins
• Document all aspects of the surgical procedure in the patient’s chart
• Coordinate with anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety
• Manage the flow of the operating room and anticipate the surgical team’s needs
• Handle specimens taken during surgery and ensure proper labeling and documentation
• Assess the patient's condition and readiness for discharge from the post‑anesthesia care unit
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families before and after surgery

The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent patient care, have the ability to multi‑task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing
• Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Florida.
• Current American Heart BLS certification and ACLS/PALS.
• Prior experience working as a Circulator
